App News: Working on bug with number of news articles
A quick message from the Food Advisor team:
We are working on the problem related to the news articles showing as unread, even though you’ve read them. Thanks to alert users who notified us; it is annoying to have the red circle and number pop up all the time.
There will continue to be fewer news articles published while we work on the bug, butВ В in the meantime, keep up to date with relevant news via our Twitter feed (@FoodAdvisorAU) or through the Food Advisor Australia website.
And stay tuned!

Have got a resolution on this bug yet?it would be great to clear the new post count on refresh
Hi Phil,
Things are very hectic around the office with the iPad launch approaching, but we will fix this bug as soon as we can. Bear with us please!
From the Food Advisor team
I have an issue with the map it keeps telling me that I’m in a different town that’s is about half an hours drive away very strange yet when I use google maps it gets my location correct any ideas would be great thx :)
Will this fix allow users to delete nets articles after we have read them?
Kirsty –
Hmmm. That’s a new one to us. We’ll take a look. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Hi Ian,
Our goal is that when you open the app, it will show a number of unread articles – like as RSS feed would do. You won’t be able to delete news articles, but when you close the app again, it will consider the articles read. So no numbers in the red circle on the Home screen either!
How do I delete News once I have read it?
Your map hast location a good half hour away to the south. There seems to
be no way to correct.
Could you provide an update on when this issue will be resolved. It still does not work correctly. Thanks
I have been unable to find any more recent news than May of this year. When will this be fixed?
Hi Amanda,
The update to solve this news articles bug has been approved by Apple and is now available. Just visit the App Store on your iPhone and the update will be there for you to do. There have been fewer articles than usual since we identified this problem – the red numbers were very frustrating for many users, so we published news snippets via the Food Advisor Twitter account instead (@FoodAdvisorAU).
But keep watching the app – there’ll be more frequent articles now the bug has been fixed! And thanks for the feedback.
